Last Saturday the Clubhouse was packed to the rafters for the Presentation and Karaoke Night.Mr DJ and his able side-kick Shaun Cowan presided over the singing,which took place either side of the Presentations, which were made by the Club President, Ian Bird.

The Club held the first in a series of Sporting Legends nights last night, with a good crowd treated to chat , laughter and song by a star studded top table!

Guest of honours were local Sporting Legends, who all entertained the crowd with tales and stories!

First to speak was ex Town First Team Skipper Nick Cowan, who had the crowd laughing and reliving memories of the 1998 campaign which saw the Club being crowned British Club Champions!

Next was Golfing legend Ian Garbutt, who entertained the crowd with tales of Seve Ballesteros and Tiger Woods!

Next came local footballing legend Ian Snodin, who had the crowd laughing with tales of Billy Bremner, and a certain game involving Everton and Wimbledon.

The crowd were the treated to a question and answer session from Alan Worboys, who had Ian Snodin to clean his boots in the early days!

Also on the top table was local boy Michael Cusack, who plies his trade with the Doncaster Knights Rugby Union Club!

After the interval, and the Silent Auction, the crowd were entertained by the simply brilliant Steve Womack, who had the crowd in stitches with his comedy, and in awe of his songs. He is one of the best in the business!

The night was run smoothly by Nick Johnson, whose organizational skills are legendary! It is hoped that the event has raised quite a bit of money for the Club.

Nick informs me that he is busy organizing the next Legends Night for February 2010, please watch this space for details!

The draw for the 2010 Knock Out Cup has been made, and sees Town with a home fixture against Cleethorpes.

The winners will earn an away tie to either Sheffield United or Scarborough.

The ECB Yorkshire League fixtures have just been released, and Town start the 2010 with a tie against Barnsley at Town Fields on Saturday 24th April

We have arranged various Winter Indoor Nets sessions over the coming months, at the Ian Wilson Community Sports Village, Bond Street, Rossington.
The facilities are top class, and it is hoped that they will prove to be very successful.
The Details are as follows-
Friday 13th November to Friday 18th December 6pm to 7pm. These are for under 11s and under 9s.

Thursday 28th January to Thursday 25th March 7PM to 9PM Seniors and Under 15s/17S
